Starwood Resorts and Hotels will always be remembered for their willingness to take risks. The brand’s unique perspective and curiosity led them to reimagine what ‘hotel’ means. Their dedication to innovation provided a new dimension and possibilities to the hotel experience.
As their merger with Marriott finalized, the brand wanted to reflect on some of their most memorable moments. They asked us to tell a story that celebrated their legacy, said thank you, and goodbye.
We created a story through a series of themed vignettes that looked back at some of Starwood’s innovation firsts: The Heavenly Bed; W Hotels — the first boutique brand; the beloved and award winning SPG loyalty program and their dedication to tech, with the debut of the mobile key room access.
The film was shared online and internationally as a salute to the many years and lifelong memories shared at Starwood Hotels.
